How do I know what size dumpster I need?
A 10 yard dumpster holds about 3 to 4 pickup truckloads of light debris. A 20 yard holds 6 to 8. Heavier material takes up less space. We'll ask you what you're throwing away and how much, and we'll give you the right size so you don't overpay or run out of space halfway through.
Can I put anything in a dumpster?
No. What cannot go in a dumpster includes batteries, tires, appliances, liquids and anything with mercury. Most construction waste, yard debris and household junk is fine. Ask us before you load if you're unsure.
Do I need a permit for a portable toilet?
Placement in the public right of way needs confirming with the city. Placement on private property usually doesn't. We've done hundreds of jobs in Allentown and we know the common rules, but your specific site may have a condition. Tell us the address and we'll check.
How often should a septic tank be pumped?
A residential septic tank is typically pumped every 3 to 5 years, driven by tank size and household size. We'll inspect it when we arrive and tell you if it needs pumping sooner. What's the difference between a standard and a deluxe porta potty?
A standard unit has a gravity toilet and hand sanitizer. A deluxe has a real flush, heating for winter, and a hand washing station with soap and towels. Event rentals almost always go deluxe. Construction sites use standard unless the crew works in winter or you want higher comfort. Porta potty rental cost is the main difference.
